Q&A comes to a dreary conclusion

HOW sad that the last edition of Questions & Answers should have been spoiled by devoting the closing 10 minutes to a one-to-one puff piece with Brian Cowen.

RTÉ decided once again to spare the Taoiseach from the inconvenience of having to interact with other politicians or face any unhelpful questions.

An otherwise excellent and lighthearted tribute to John Bowman’s 21 years of work was tarnished by 10 minutes of Mr Cowen’s hallmark dreary rhetoric.
