Credibility problem

THE sheer brass neck of the likes of Mary Harney and Willie O’Dea to state judges are giving a poor example by not taking a pay cut – not to mention cutting their pension and expenses – is enough to turn one’s stomach.

Credibility problem

Why don’t Harney and O’Dea themselves lead by example by taking responsibility for the massive failures in their departments and resign or, better still, take a 50% pay cut with a corresponding cut in their pensions and stop claiming expenses and allowances they can well afford to pay themselves.

Maybe then they’d have some credibility to be lecturing others about setting an example.
