Cowen fails to get the message

WELL Brian Cowen got his answer but he certainly does not appear to have got the message, if his post-poll public ruminations are anything to go by.

In classic denial, he attributes his party's drubbing to the harsh but necessary measures which the Government, mindful of its responsibility is now obliged to take to set the economy back on track.

If the people of the country wanted to avoid the harsh measures they would not have voted for the other party most likely to implement the same.
