Homeless thanks to a helpless Government

I READ recently that the Government is planning to rent hundreds of empty houses for the homeless because it might be cheaper than all the B&Bs and other emergency shelters.

Could the minister in charge of this latest fiasco please give us the details both on why all these houses are empty and why there are so many more homeless people, and whether or not it would have been cheaper by many millions simply to have had a competent and honest government in the first place.

The story implies that they are doing good but it’s not much better than picking my pocket to pay for the ambulance after running me over.
