Lenihan joins Cowen in the slovenly work class
Mr Cowen admitted he hadn’t read the Lisbon Treaty in its entirety, although that didn’t stop him from urging the electorate to endorse it.
Mr Lenihan has also shown far from meticulous reading habits even when donating billions of euro to Anglo-Irish Bank.
We know about overcrowded classrooms, but we should now be thinking about an overcrowded Dáil where an impartial inspector would be justified in giving an NG (no grade) mark to senior politicians for slovenly work.
A decade or so ago Ivan Boesky and Michael Milken were sent to jail for insider trading/corporate raiding. Oh, but that was in the USA.
We’re far too polite in this country to expect any of our movers-and-shakers to be put behind bars.
