EU targets safety rules for baby walkers

THE EU is to introduce safety standards for all baby walkers made in, or imported, into Europe.

Baby walkers cause thousands of accidents every year, injuring more babies than any other piece of nursery equipment.

Head injuries are the most common, with many infants falling down stairs or falling over when their walker trips.
