Cold comfort for visitor on a night out

HAVING emigrated to Australia from Cork with his family as a three-year-old, our second son went ‘home’ recently for a holiday and to visit relatives old and young.

On one night mid-week he decided to stay at a backpackers’ hostel and went out to a music session to a hostelry nearby.

Having enjoyed a pleasant evening, he discovered his thermal jacket was missing when he got up to leave, along with his mobile phone (with all of his contacts recorded on it) and his car keys.
