Inflation slows - Good news, but hold the champagne

Inflation slowed to 4.4% last month from 5% in June; in April it fell to 4.3%, down from March’s 5%.

The annual rate of inflation, based on a European Union measure, has dropped to 3.6% from 3.9% in June. Prices fell 0.5% from the previous month.
