CORK University Hospital general manager Tony McNamara “would expect anybody with a sense of corporate loyalty to pick up the phone and deal with matters internally” (June 24).

Doctors should have no corporate loyalty

Patients must be able to trust doctors with their lives and health.

To justify that trust we must show respect for human life and we must make the care of our patients our first concern.
