HSE requests - End culture of secrecy
If the public could record its satisfaction or otherwise with how the Health Service Executive communicates with those it exists to serve it is more than probable we would have to record another no vote.
That frustration crossed a Rubicon yesterday when the Broadcasting Complaints Commission ruled that Newstalk 106 infringed the privacy rights of civil servants by phoning them from a live radio programme to ask about the health service. These civil servants worked in the press office of the HSE and are paid to answer questions. That is their job.
