What happened last Sunday is not new and it goes back much further than your editorial suggests (June 10).

Why does it happen at Pairc UÍ Chaoimh? Poor stadium design is a factor. The terraces entrances are too low. This leads to the spectators not dispersing over the entire terraced area and causes congestion at the entrances and blocking of the passageways.
