No justification for rising food prices

THERE is no justification for the massive rise in food prices that has become all too apparent in the last year or so.

The EU gives more than two-thirds of its budget to agricultural subsidies and in that regard it would seem that food is the biggest rip-off of all.

Making matter worse, we have a large proportion of farmers appearing on the Revenue list of defaulters annually.
