The challenge facing Mr Kenny now is to lead the opposition properly and end his preoccupation with Mr Ahern (which has already forced the intervention of Mr Kenny’s own party cronies).

When looking for a man to lead, I know which one of the two I would want for the job, and it’s not the man who shed crocodile tears in Dáil Éireann.
