Road tax propaganda

PG O’SULLIVAN (Letters, March 14), referring to potholes, asks if our road taxes are not sufficient?

If he looked at any county council website, he would see that the answer is ‘no’.

County councils spend about twice as much money on roads as they receive in road tax.

However, no-one believes this. We have all been indoctrinated with the propaganda of the road lobby.
