Bus chaos: blame politicians and selfish motorists

AS a long-suffering, taxpaying commuter, I wish to comment on the public transport system in Cork, specifically the number 8/8A route from the city centre to Bishopstown during evening rush hour.

I can’t describe how delighted I feel that while I am forced to fund Dublin’s modern and evolving public transport system, I am stuck with Cork’s pathetic Third World system which consists of overcrowded, gridlocked buses and nothing else.

Why is all government funding going to Dublin and Cork is left as poor relation?
