One taxation law for top earners and another for PAYE workers

RTÉ recently showed a programme about Ireland’s top 50 businessmen and women who made the greatest financial gains last year.

It profiled individuals who accrued massive wealth. Some were household names while others were unknown to most of us.

One would have to admire people who worked very hard to get where they are today, like the multi-talented Michael Flatley and John Quinn, but hearing of others who have become rich as a result of property speculation and rezoning was enough to put me off.
