Brazil keeps up supply

HAVING failed to achieve an EU ban on Brazilian beef, IFA president Padraig Walshe is clearly trying to talk it out of the market (“Beef farmers demand price increase”, January 8).

His suggestion that Brazil is “out of the picture” and that retailers “cannot plan for any availability of Brazilian beef” is nonsense.

Supplies of good quality Brazilian beef will continue for the foreseeable future.
