Politicians should lay off tribunal

I HAVE watched with amazement at how Fianna Fáil propaganda has attempted to turn an inquiry into the financial affairs of the Taoiseach into an inquiry of the Mahon Tribunal itself.

FF ministers have continually interfered with the work of the tribunal by pointing to cost, length and the terms of reference — maybe they are concerned as to who is next.

The length of the tribunal can only be put down to the amount of corruption that existed in the body politic and unco-operative witnesses (including the Taoiseach) who delay all inquiries.
