Mature students cut off

AS one of the 20 mature students on the Access to Arts and Human Sciences course at UCD, I have found it a rewarding experience. The course fired our imaginations and made us determined to complete a degree course.

Due to work and family commitments, we intended to apply for a place on the evening degree course, but imagine our dismay to discover UCD intends to abolish it. Why were we not informed of this when we were offered our places?

We call on the powers-that-be at UCD to honour their commitments and let us get on with our studies.
