Wider road will still lead to same dead end
Whether Kerry’s roads are fit for the purpose, and whether Kerry County Council should be subsidising motorists by spending twice as much on roads as it receives in tax (according to its web site), is a matter of opinion. But no one would disagree that money spent on roads should be spent wisely.
For the past five years the county council has been widening five kilometres of the N71 from the tunnels on the Cork border towards Kenmare.
