What British police wear is not relevant here

A GARDA with a Sikh head-dress? Lest we be accused of discrimination, could we also provide for every ethnic and religious minority on the planet to be able to wear their head-dress, or whatever, during work?

Would someone please tell the powers-that-be to grab hold of themselves — do they want the gardaí to resemble a circus? As for those who cite what British police wear, may I remind them we are a sovereign republic with our own opinions and can decide for ourselves.

Let’s not fall prey to the new orthodoxy that if you don’t agree and comply with all my whims, you are a racist.
