APPARENTLY the move away from Shannon to Belfast was a commercial decision for Aer Lingus, which simply means they anticipate making more profits.

The Government, as a 25% shareholder, actually stands to make more money (for voting machines, more roads through Tara, etc).

As we’ve ceased to be a society and have become an economy instead, the Government is simply running the whole thing as one large company. In this light, it’s a prudent move and to hell with the mid-west,
