Nice to see FF minister opposing dig-outs

IT seems that some of the Roma on the M50 have property back home. There is no place in this country for people looking for handouts who are not actually destitute.

We can’t let this attitude into the country. Where would it all end?

If this were condoned, everyone, no matter how well-paid, would feel entitled to get dig-outs from friends and strangers.

We would abolish that pride in paddling your own canoe which is so vital to our sense of decency and self-respect. It’s great that a Fianna Fáil minister has the guts to speak out against this kind of thing.
