Beach horses leave an unwelcome mark

WHY are dog-owners fined for not picking up their pets’ excrement in public places and horse-owners are not?

Recently I visited a beautiful beach in Co Kerry, but I was disgusted by all the horse excrement on it.

Horses from local stables were trotting along the waters edge and doing their business.

This was then washed into the sea by the tide. Now I’ve been turned off swimming in the sea which I previously enjoyed.

This is a disgrace.
