Students denied basic democratic right

I am a student from Cork studying in Dublin. Like many other students, I feel we were denied the opportunity to make our mark. Thursday is a bad day for students to vote as many go home only at weekends.

Also, it was a week when many students were doing exams. We were not alerted to the facility of a postal vote in time either as the deadline was only a few days after the election was called.
