AFTER reading an opinion poll result, I wondered if those interviewed actually believed in them, and how they thought their opinion was being judged by opinion poll result readers like myself.

I decided to do my own opinion poll on opinion polls. Of the 100 people I interviewed, 50% believed in opinion polls, 40% did not, and the remaining 10% had no opinion on opinion polls.

Of the 50 who believed in opinion polls, 80% believed that their opinion would be believed, while the remaining 20% believed that their opinion would not be believed.
