Bertie in Cork: the party view

FOLLOWING your report (May 19) on the Taoiseach’s visit to Cork last Friday we, as FF representatives, wish to make a few points which we felt did not accurately reflect the facts as reported.

1. There was an overwhelmingly positive response to the Taoiseach’s visit.

2. He did not speak from the steps of Le Château bar because he was delayed in arriving there as a result of the great response to him at Merchants Quay.
