Tara — a cry from the Irish diaspora

LIKE many people of Irish descent, I am appalled at the construction of a motorway — the M3 — in the vicinity of Tara, the legendary capital and spiritual epicentre of Ireland.

I have written to the Taoiseach expressing my concern over one of the most irresponsible peacetime acts I have seen any government make in my lifetime.

Tara is not only an historical and heritage site; it is also a place of mythical qualities.
