Doctor’s prescription leaves us cold

FIANNA FÁIL TD Jim McDaid accepts he was a “disgrace” and “an idiot” in 2005 when convicted of drink-driving.

He is an even bigger eejit now if he thinks workers, who are generating the wealth in this country, are going to accept a three-year pay freeze at a time when prices are rising at over 5% and rip-offs like toll roads are out of control.

It is a bit over the limit coming from a doctor, who generally receives more than four times the average wage. I never saw Mr McDaid objecting to huge salary increases for TDs and even more for Government ministers.
