Playing the field

IT is true that, in the near future, people born in other countries and not of Irish extraction will play Gaelic games at Croke Park (Irish Examiner, January 6).

We all look forward to that joyous expression of sporting assimilation. We hope such people will not be referred to as non-nationals. We in Kerry will be overjoyed if a non-Irish national or foreign national plays a starring role in bringing Sam Maguire to our Kingdom.
