Drug ban is a fraud

WILLIE NELSON is an American treasure. He doesn’t deserve a fine (Irish Examiner, September 20).

What he really deserves is a national referendum on whether or not to continue the ‘war’ on marijuana. I think it would pass by a landslide.

The ban is a counterproductive fraud — an intellectually bankrupt policy that is causing far more harm than legalised marijuana ever could.
