* Athy farmer’s market is now in full swing. It takes place every Sunday from 10am-3pm in Emily Square in the heart of Athy.
It features all sorts of local food, some organic — homemade chocolates, herbs, vegetables, cakes, biscuits, preserves, farmhouse cheese, free-range meats, artisan bread and goat’s milk.
On the first Sunday of every month there are craft stalls, line music and demonstrations and face painting — it all sounds like delicious fun.
