Parents to blame for increase in child obesity

YOUR feature article on the increase in child obesity (Irish Examiner, July 8) said the Government is not doing enough to tackle the problem.

It is the parents of these children who should be tackling the problem.

The parents are often obese themselves, and their children have no option but to follow the same lifestyle.
