Barking mad over beach ban on dogs

CLARE County Council has created a new crime by banning dogs from beaches in summer and imposing heavy fines on their owners if they fail or refuse to rein them in.

If the local authority can’t find something more sensible to do I can only conclude there must be a crime shortage in the Banner County.

And the gardaí there must have time on their hands because, if media reports are to be believed, they are being drafted in to enforce the new by-laws.
