Vote at the filling station and get a free Lotto ticket

FOR years now I have been listening to the arguments about e-voting and have witnessed the dreadful waste of taxpayers’ money on such projects.

For the life of me, I cannot see why the Government has not turned to the most obvious candidate in terms of software security, accountability, verification and traceability — the National Lottery.

With some minor changes, there is no reason why the National Lottery could not embark on such a project.
