Insult to Catholics

THE Da Vinci Code is a good example of the last acceptable prejudice, anti-Catholicism.

Contrast the attitude of Hollywood gurus towards Mel Gibson’s The Passion of The Christ (which they wouldn’t touch with a barge pole because of their concerns for Jewish sensitivities) and the unrestrained sensationalism and marketing of The Da Vinci Code, in spite of the fact that it distorts the truth of Catholicism and history.

I can only hope that Catholics here will exercise a modicum of commonsense and a large grain of salt if they bother to see this movie. It is an insult not only to our faith, but to our intelligence.
