Petition to end EU’s travelling parliament

I AM a strong supporter of the EU. But that does not mean I am happy with everything it does, and one of the biggest problems facing it is the waste of money.

The EU has two parliament buildings — one in Brussels and the other in Strasbourg.

This means that all 732 members of the European Parliament have to maintain two offices and for one week every month they, and many of their staff, have to leave Brussels and head to Strasbourg. These and other related costs come to about €200m a year.
