Apathy at root of homeless problem

AMID the countless positive things about the thrusting new Ireland we’ve all become so familiar with over the last decade of bewildering change, a few nagging questions keep popping into my head.

Many are just the usual annoyances of everyday life in what has suddenly become Europe’s second-richest country.

Like, why, when we’re sitting in our shiny new 06 cars, do the traffic lights stay red for so long?
