Readers blog: Please say hello to your local garda

Despite all the recent justifiable negatives about An Garda Siochana I personally have great respect and admiration for the rank and file members of the force. 

I would ask the fair minded people of this island, who know how good a job ordinary Gardai do on our behalf, to say hello, with a smile, to your local friendly Garda, make their day, they deserve it.
