Dutch expel Turkish minister: Intervention a reckless provocation

The weekend confrontation between Turkey, Holland, and Germany may seem a remote, Mitteleuropa sideshow but it is not at all.

It revolves around the great, and the increasingly fractious issue of our time — mass immigration. Whether we wish it otherwise or not, it has a relevance even on a small island on the very western fringes of Europe.
