James King has just won Engineers Ireland Level 8 Student Engineer of the Year award for his invention MediPod. Inspired by a conversation with his dad, who is in the ambulance service, James went about looking for an easier and faster way to get blood and organs to inaccessible places.
Clare and most notably the Burren area is quickly becoming synonymous with great food and great place to eat. Well one of those food producers is Burren Smokehouse and I travelled out to talk with Brigitta Curtain and over a coffee at the Roadside Tavern she spoke to Kehlan about her business.
On the final part of this week’s show how do businesses grab a piece of €8.5m a day? Well one business is aiming to help them do just that. Sophia McHugh, along with her husband Brendan, have developed Traffic Attic over the past three years. The website aims to become the go to place for Irish business who want to sell online and consumers looking for products in Ireland.
