Fine Gael senator Martin Conway resigns from party after being arrested while intoxicated

Fine Gael Senator Martin Conway has resigned from the party after he confirmed he was arrested by Gardaí late last month.

The Sunday Independent reported that an unnamed Fine Gael politician was arrested for intoxication in January, with Mr Conway confirming in a statement that it was him.
