Almost €190,000 to be spent on fitness instructor to keep TDs and Senators in shape

The tender for the instructor, posted by the Houses of the Oireachtas Service, states that machines have been installed recently and were purchased new in the middle of last month

The body that runs Leinster House is set to splurge almost €190,000 on a fitness instructor to help keep TDs, Senators and staff in shape for the next four years.

After the next election, the person who takes on the job will have up to 174 TDs, up from the current 160, as well as 60 members of the Seanad to keep in shape.
