Sinn Féin support drops four points in latest opinion poll

Mary Lou McDonald's party has seen support fall since the last poll.

Support for Sinn Féin has fallen four points in the latest opinion poll result.

The Red C poll, done for the Sunday Business Post, has shown that Mary Lou McDonald's party has dropped from 29% to 25% from the most recent poll done in November.

Fine Gael's support remained at 20%, with Fianna Fáil going up one point to 17%.

The Green Party was also unchanged at 4%.

The rest of the non-Governmental parties and Independents saw mixed results.

Independents rose to 15%, up two points, while the Social Democrats remained at 6%.

Labour and People Before Profit/Solidarity were at 4% and 3% respectively, both unchanged from the poll in November.

Aontú is up one point to 3%.

The poll was carried out online between January 19 and January 24, with a margin of error of +/-3%.

There are both local and European elections in 2024.
