Cork Lotto player wins €3.64m jackpot in latest draw

The online player bought a Quick Pick ticket before Wednesday night’s draw and is now being urged to contact the National Lottery

A Cork-based Lotto player has been advised to contact the National Lottery after winning more than €3.6m in Wednesday night’s draw.

The National Lottery announced that an online Lotto player from Cork won €3,641,884 after purchasing a Quick Pick ticket on Tuesday.

The winning numbers were 02, 13, 37, 38, 41 and 46, with 18 as the bonus number.

The Cork player has become the sixth Lotto jackpot winner of the year to date, following wins by players in Mayo, Dublin and Offaly.

The National Lottery has confirmed that an email has been sent to the winner advising them to check their account.

Wednesday night’s draw also marked the final appearance of Lotto numbers 46 and 47, which are being retired as part of changes to the game.

From Saturday, 45 balls will be used in Lotto draws.

‘Milestone moment’

National Lottery spokesperson Sarah Orr said Wednesday night’s Lotto draw marked “a milestone moment for the game with 46 and 47 now officially retiring from the game, it was a truly significant night for one Rebel County player”.

“The midweek draw saw an online player in Cork win the jackpot which was worth an incredible €3,641,884,” said Ms Orr.

“We are encouraging all of our online players in Cork to carefully check their accounts today as one person now has a jackpot amount waiting to be claimed.” 

The Cork-based winner is now advised to contact the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email [e-mail] to make arrangements to visit Lottery Headquarters to collect their prize.
