The historical importance of Maurice ‘Moss’ Twomey may have been largely forgotten over the years, but not by the community of Clondulane, where he was born, in a village near Fermoy.

A monument is to be unveiled in the Co Cork birthplace of a man whose exploits made international headlines and who was the longest-serving chief of staff of the Old IRA.
