Cork traffic and weather: Sunny spells in store with highs of up to 19C

Cork is set for another day of sunny spells and scattered showers with highs of 15C to 19C.
Met Éireann says it will stay mostly dry with some sunshine over the weekend and Monday, before it becomes unsettled with showers or more persistent spells of rain.
Friday night will see any lingering showers clear early on further south, bringing a dry night with a mix of cloud and clear spells. Temperatures will reach as low as 6C.
Saturday will then be mostly dry with sunny spells, with the odd light shower. Highs of 15C to 20C are expected, with warmest weather set for the south.
It will be dry then for most of Saturday night, with clear spells. It will be a bit cloudier in the northwest, with the chance of a light shower; some mist and fog patches will develop too, with lows of 6C to 10C.
Meanwhile, traffic across Cork is starting to build up, with the N40 starting to see queues.
Motorists are being urged to be cautious on the roads.
On Sunday, mist and fog will clear through the morning, bringing a dry day for most with sunny spells and the odd light shower. Highs of 16C to 20C are expected through the day.
It will be a dry night on Sunday with long clear spells, and lows of 7C to 11C.
Looking into next week, Monday will be dry and bright for most of the day, before cloud and possibly some showers move up from the south in the evening. It will be warmer than previous days with highs of 18C to 22C.
Current indications for Tuesday show showers or more persistent spells of rain moving up from the south, some of which could be heavy or even thundery. Highs of 17C to 21C are expected.
Further outlook for next week shows it will stay unsettled for the next few days with showers or more persistent spells of rain.
