Free All-Ireland SHC final watch parties to take place in Limerick and Galway

Fans will be able to watch their hurling heroes play the All-Ireland final on big screens in both Limerick and Galway City, with free watch parties announced by the local authorities.
In Limerick, supporters can register for free here for the watch party at Pery Square this Sunday, in the heart of the city’s Georgian quarter.
Gates will open from 2pm.
Limerick GAA and Limerick City and County Council will host the family-friendly event, so supporters can watch the Limerick hurlers take on Galway.
While many supporters will make the journey to Croke Park, the big screen event will offer thousands of fans the opportunity to experience the atmosphere together in the city.
There will be also be entertainment on the day, with music from Martin Cosgrave, special guests, DJ’s, face painters, and family fun.
The live screening of the 2023 All Ireland hurling final at Pery Square attracted thousands of fans with live images beamed into Croke Park during the game to show the team the support back home.
Mayor of Limerick, John Moran, said the county's appearance in another All-Ireland final presents a fantastic opportunity to showcase Limerick pride.
"There is a great sense of anticipation building right across Limerick as we prepare to support our hurlers on the biggest stage of all.
"For those who can't make it to Dublin, Pery Square will offer a fantastic family-friendly alternative, with thousands of supporters coming together to cheer on Limerick. It promises to be a great celebration of sport in the heart of Limerick."
With temperatures forecast to reach the mid-20s on Sunday, supporters have been reminded to dress appropriately for the warm weather, apply sunscreen, and keep hydrated.
Meanwhile in Galway, Galway City Council has has announced that a free, public big‑screen showing of the All‑Ireland hurling final will take place in the Heineken Big Top as part of the Galway International Arts Festival (GIAF).
"The Heineken Big Top — one of Ireland’s most iconic festival venues — will transform into a vibrant gathering place for supporters, families, and visitors," the local authority said.
Mayor of the City of Galway, Cllr Helen Ogbu, welcomed the announcement, saying:
“Galway is a city shaped by sport, culture, and community.
“It’s a chance for supporters, families, and visitors to come together in a cultural setting to share the occasion and celebrate our maroon spirit. Gaillimh Abú!”
