Gardaí are set to launch a murder investigation after a man died following a fatal assault in Cork city centre.

At approximately 7.50pm, gardaí and emergency services responded to reports that a man had suffered injuries following a suspected stabbing incident near a property at Camden Court on Carroll's Quay and Knapp's Square.
