Car drives through window of popular Limerick shop

Gardaí have responded to an incident after a car drove through shop premises in Limerick.

The incident occurred this Wednesday at approximately 4.50pm at the Spar shop located on Fr Russell Road.

A Garda spokesperson confirmed that "there were no reports of injuries" following the single-vehicle collision.

They confirmed they attended the scene of the incident this afternoon. 

A picture of the incident was widely shared on social media, showing the aftermath of the car entering the premises, with broken glass all over the floor.

It is believed the incident was the result of an accident.
